Here are some reviews RiverWatch has received in recent years:

Check out what the Cincinnati Enquirer food critic has to say about us! The Ohio River lapped tranquilly against the barge while the waves of an occasional passing boat created a gentle rocking motion. The late afternoon sun sparkled off the water, while across the river, old-growth trees graced the banks. A vacation? No: We were in Lawrenceburg, 27 miles from downtown Cincinnati, at Captain Mike's RiverWatch. It's a great place to while away a few hours, whether for dinner or a few drinks. It boasts a full bar inside the renovated employee barge at the original site of Argosy Casino, and plenty of tables in the shade and on the deck of this floating restaurant. Pleasure craft can tie up and pop in for a meal on a first-come, first-served basis. And management plans to keep the restaurant open through the winter this year. Dishes are named with nautical themes. Appetizers include crab slammers, (deep fried crab claw meat, cream and smoked gouda with peppers, $7.95); pontoon potato boats (potato skins, $5.95); and shrimp cocktail ($8.95). My dinner companion had the colorful nautical nachos ($6.95); she's a vegetarian, so her choices were limited. On the lighter side, a number of salads are available, including a chargrilled chicken salad ($7.95), RiverWatch hot slaw with bacon ($2.95) and a classic Caesar (4.95/$6.95).There are a number of seafood choices; all come with thick-cut chips and hot slaw. Consider the big kahuna sandwich, a half-pound cod filet battered in Corona beer($8.95); fried catfish on rye ($6.95); coconut shrimp with orange marmalade dipping sauce ($8.95); and a classic fish and chips ($8.95). Landlubber choices includea half-pound burger ($6.95), a Caesar chicken wrap ($6.95), a steak sandwich ($9.95) and a steak hoagie ($5.95). And double deckers are called "Tall Stacks." For dessert, choose from New York-style cheesecake, Key lime pie or ice cream.

“We stopped on a Thursday in June. The city has a Thursday concert series along the river and the band that performed there came down to River Watch after their performance and did a small concert. The band was awesome. Mile Marker 24 Band from Key West FL. While getting what was close to a private concert we ordered the loaded fries. They were the best French fries I've ever eaten. Very much like a deluxe nachos, but with fries. TASTY! The server was efficient and friendly. The place was crowded and I was surprised to get such quick service. All in all, a very great addition to a cross country trip. We happened upon this place - and we will be back!”
